MENATL HEALTH IN MEN!

(Restricted to; Severe anxiety and depression)

To help with mental health, the meet up and workshops are a great help. Guardian can also provide; 

- Alternative therapies to improve wellbeing and relaxation. 

"It is believed that in the UK, 1 in 8 men have a common mental health problem, such as depression and anxiety - a 1.5% increase from previous years (FYI; Men aged 40 to 49 have the highest suicide rates in the UK). Men report lower levels of life satisfaction than women, according to the Government's national well-being survey, and men are less likely to access psychological therapies due to having more negative views regarding depression and anxiety; Men are more likely to  be embarrassed and self-stigmatisation prevent men from seeking help - Younger men tend to face more stigma about depression and suicide. Some common symptoms of mental disorder in men include:

Anger, irritability, aggressiveness -

Changes in mood, energy level, or appetite -

Difficulty sleeping or sleeping too much -

Difficulty concentrating, feeling restless, or on edge -

Increased worry or feeling stressed -

Misuse of alcohol, drugs, or both -

Feelings of hopelessness -

Feeling flat or having trouble feeling positive emotions -

Engaging in high-risk activities -

Aches, headaches, or digestive problems without a clear cause -

Obsessive thinking or compulsive behavior -

Thoughts or behaviors that interfere with work, family, or social life -

Unusual thinking or behaviors that concern other people -

Thoughts of death or suicide or suicide attempts.

As well as hosting educational workshops, regular talk groups and 1-2-1 sessions, and providing male social activities; Guardian here for you also aims to help such men with mental health strains by providing for treatments in the hope to alleviate symptoms!
